Werk en vrije tijd: wie betaalt wat?Work and free time: who pays for what?

Een ongeval tijdens je werk valt in Australië en Canada eerst onder de verplichte werkgeversverzekering (workers' compensation) en in Nieuw-Zeeland onder het staatsfonds ACC. Dat klinkt geruststellend, maar die regelingen zijn gemaakt voor inwoners. Repatriëring, extra reiskosten voor je familie en zorg buiten het werk vallen er niet onder.

De Special ISIS dekt je 24 uur per dag, 7 dagen per week: ook 's avonds, in het weekend en tijdens je reizen tussen twee banen. Je bent verzekerd voor geneeskundige kosten tot de werkelijke kosten, repatriëring, ongevallen, aansprakelijkheid en je persoonlijke spullen.

An accident at work is first covered by compulsory employer insurance (workers' compensation) in Australia and Canada, and by the state scheme ACC in New Zealand. That sounds reassuring, but these schemes are designed for residents. Repatriation, extra travel costs for your family and care outside work are not included.

Special ISIS covers you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: in the evening, at the weekend and while travelling between two jobs. You are covered for medical costs up to the actual cost, repatriation, accidents, liability and your personal belongings.
